Priscilla soundtrack to be released in March

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical is set to be released March 15.

Songs made famous by Elvis, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Tina Turner replace the ABBA tracks that appeared on the film soundtrack.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert has booked the Palace Theatre and will open on March 20, 2011. Performances are set to begin on February 28, directed by Simon Phillips. The show will arrive on Broadway after a fall run at Toronto’s Princess of Wales Theatre, where will have a 12-week engagement beginning October 12.

Ric Alonso resigns from pageant association after porn revelation

Kevin Hogan wasn't the only person this week ambushed out of a job for his participation in the gay adult film industry. FOX News reports : Ric Alonso and his partner of 21 years, Ernie Koneck, have both been both prominent power players in the Southern California Scholarship Association — an incorporated not-for-profit association — which produces the Miss Hollywood pageant, an official preliminary to Miss California, and a feeder to Miss America. Alonso is listed as the first “major sponsor” for 2011 scholarship donations, while partner Koneck has been the pageantry point of contact and is featured in photographs alongside the smiling young sashed pageant contestants.
