Casey James will tour with Sugarland

Here's an update on a Jerry Curl heartthrob: Idol Season 9 second runner-up and Sony Music Nashville artist Casey James will join the March leg of Sugarland’s 2011 The Incredible Machine Tour opening for the super-duo in 8 cities across the country.

“I am so excited,” exclaimed Casey. “I think it’s an awesome opportunity to play in front of people that love great music. I can’t wait to get back out there and share new music with the fans.”

Casey is currently in the studio working on his highly anticipated BNA Records debut album, set for release later this year and will kick-off his opening slot on the Sugarland tour in North Little Rock on March 4th.

Ric Alonso resigns from pageant association after porn revelation

Kevin Hogan wasn't the only person this week ambushed out of a job for his participation in the gay adult film industry. FOX News reports : Ric Alonso and his partner of 21 years, Ernie Koneck, have both been both prominent power players in the Southern California Scholarship Association — an incorporated not-for-profit association — which produces the Miss Hollywood pageant, an official preliminary to Miss California, and a feeder to Miss America. Alonso is listed as the first “major sponsor” for 2011 scholarship donations, while partner Koneck has been the pageantry point of contact and is featured in photographs alongside the smiling young sashed pageant contestants. On Tuesday, Alonso was exposed by RadarOnline as adult film actor and producer "Jake Cruise".
