Moulin Rouge cast reuniting May 2 on MTV


JustJared reports: Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor, and John Leguizamo are reuniting to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their hit musical Moulin Rouge.

The cast will debut Moulin Rouge At 10: A Spectacular Spectacular MTV News Event, hosted by Josh Horowitz, on May 2 at 3PM ET.

The special will stream live on MTV.com and include special appearances and live interviews while looking back at how the film came to be and how its legacy continues to grow.

Kidman and McGregor will be joined by director Baz Luhrmann, co-star John Leguizamo, who played artist Toulouse-Lautrec, and Catherine Martin, who won the Oscar for costume design and art direction.

Fans can submit questions for Baz, Nicole, Ewan, and John by tweeting questions to @MTVNews and using the hash tag #AskMoulin.

Ric Alonso resigns from pageant association after porn revelation

Kevin Hogan wasn't the only person this week ambushed out of a job for his participation in the gay adult film industry. FOX News reports : Ric Alonso and his partner of 21 years, Ernie Koneck, have both been both prominent power players in the Southern California Scholarship Association — an incorporated not-for-profit association — which produces the Miss Hollywood pageant, an official preliminary to Miss California, and a feeder to Miss America. Alonso is listed as the first “major sponsor” for 2011 scholarship donations, while partner Koneck has been the pageantry point of contact and is featured in photographs alongside the smiling young sashed pageant contestants.
