Britney opens up about her idols, her contemporaries, and motherhood

The Marquee Blog reports: With her new album, Femme Fatale, dropping March 29, Britney Spears' name is currently on everyone's lips. But in a new interview, she's turning the tables and speaking out about other stars.

Spears, a longtime Madonna fan, tells the latest issue of Out magazine that she is molding her career after the Material Girl's.

"She is an amazing entertainer," says the pop princess, who posed in a barely there leotard that reveals tattoos near her crotch. "Besides Madonna, I also admire Sarah Jessica Parker’s career and her shoe collection."

Spears also gushes about fellow former Mouseketeer Christina Aguilera, calling her "truly talented," and says that Betty White is her favorite Golden Girl "because she's so sweet and innocent."

The mom of two—who tells the magazine she'd love her boys unconditionally if they turned out to be gay—listens to the music of contemporaries like Lady Gaga and admits that she wishes she had recorded Rihanna's duet with Eminem, "Love the Way You Lie."

While Spears is one of today's biggest superstars, she's also fairly certain that, if we assume reincarnation exists, she was a different celebrity in a previous life. "Audrey Hepburn," she explains, "because she was a trend setter."
