Lambert to join Palin on Leno’s new Tonight Show

Adam Lambert will indeed be appearing on The Tonight Show on Tuesday — along with the former governor of Alaska, conservative Sarah Palin. NBC confirmed the appearance Tuesday after Lambert Tweeted last week that he’d be on Leno’s new stage.

There was speculation that there might be tension over whether the conservative politician and the very liberal Lambert were able to be in the same studio. According to sources directly involved with the booking, this was overblown.

“It had nothing to do with that — Adam had some scheduling issues that needed to be worked out,” said the source. “Until those conflicts on his end were worked out, it just couldn’t be announced. There’s really no drama involved.”
